Here's a show that's worth another listen. It's a pretty audience source too...

The all time best Wheel in my opinion. The whole Second set is just amazingly psychedelic for the era, but the first set is a little sloppy.

Hey Dire did you go to "Lookstock" in Northampton on Tuesday? My friend and I drove up from NY sort of spur of the moment and went. It was 'sold out' when we got there, had no idea the place was so small - anyway we walked around and ended up walking in through the back and hung out backstage for most of the show.

We had a pretty good time - the Who cover band was really good and the GD cover band was pretty darn good also. They Did St Stephen > Other One > China Cat > St Stephen reprise

Speakin of Good eats - we stopped at Joe's Pizza in Northampton on the way back to NY from VT. The best Pizza outside NYC I've ever had. I went to College in Marlboro VT so have spent some time in Northampton / Amherst area.

You probably already know about Joe's - but if you don't then you must seek it out and go there.

I just read that David is ill and in the hospital.
GDH Digest news:
"David was on his way to Salt Lake City to play a much anticipated house concert for us tomorrow night and just called our organizers that he is in the hospital in Carson City. The news is David is in the hospital with Pericarditis.. Please send healing vibes his way.

Get well David!

Cause I didn't know:

What Is Pericarditis?
Pericarditis (PER-i-kar-DI-tis) is a condition in which the membrane, or sac, around your heart is inflamed. This sac is called the pericardium (per-i-KAR-de-um).

The pericardium holds the heart in place and helps it work properly. The sac is made of two thin layers of tissue that enclose your heart. Between the two layers is a small amount of fluid. This fluid keeps the layers from rubbing against each other and causing friction.

Outlook
It may take from a few days to weeks or even months to recover from pericarditis. With proper and prompt treatment, such as rest and ongoing care, most people fully recover from pericarditis. These measures also can help reduce the chances of getting the condition again

Excellent choice. For those of you who like a good Matrix version, http://www.archive.org/details/gd1981-08-28.mtx.painoman.92893.sbeok.flac16 is not bad either. Your choice. Great show. Happiness awaits those who click.
